    I’ll have to be honest. TV Tropes has been going downhill. “An Aesop” has been made definition only, “Some Anvils Need to be Dropped” has been dropped, “Reality Ensues” has been replaced with “Surprisingly Realistic Outcome” (with stricter rules), and the Real Life examples for “Early Installment Weirdness” page has been cut.

    I may have to browse through the Wayback Machine in the future.

    I never noticed that, but I think I can kind of see what you mean. But Some Anvils Have Been Dropped wasn’t removed, it’s just called Anvilicious now.

    What I liked about the original trope is that it taught a moral of the story that challenges a norm that the writer finds to be morally wrong that even the audiences would agree.

    Once a week is my minimum, but lately I've been playing about three times a week. Some flowers die and some wilt, but this is why I spent years breeding gold roses. Gold roses don't wilt and die (unless I kill them accidentally, which happens sometimes).

    If you play 2-3 times a week and water any wilted flowers, you'll probably lose a few, but not a lot. This time of year is good for flowers though, because it's been snowing a lot lately (and snow waters the flowers). Any that means none will be wilted on the day after it snows/rains.

    I was looking more into some of these tropes. I noticed some interesting ties with these tropes:
    • Clueless Aesop and Strawman Has a Point
    • Laser-Guided Karma and Catharsis Factor
    • For Want of Nail and Could’ve Avoided This Plot
    Even though the wiki doesn’t label them as related tropes, some of the examples sound like they’re related.
