TBT's Earth Week 2024: Hybrid Flower Breeding & More!

It’s probably already been asked, but can a particular hybrid still be bred if the correct breeding pair order is in their opposite placement?

What I mean is, the red rose is on the right side of the preferred hybrid growing order, where the yellow rose is on the left side. Can the orange rose still be grown this way?
 
I got lucky with a blue pansy tonight! Now I'm reorganizing to try for a pink tulip again with a small chance at another purple rose.

Yes, the order doesn't matter as long as the required breeding pair are touching in your line-up. This could be horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
