So while I originally said in the first post of this thread that the ACNL town tree would remain until April 9th... I may have clumsily forgotten about the Sakura tree in early April, which is quite special too. So we'll be saying goodbye to this tree on April 1st instead -- enjoy the last couple days!

i would like you to all know that i was very determined to turn justin into a liar

this decision was made an hour ago when i got home because i realized the tree was going to be gone and fervently refused to accept reality

I guess you could say the tree turning into Sakura colors is the "final hurrah" as New Leaf slowly enters its final week of online activity.
